Continuing Education
The new Continuing Education requirements to maintain RCC and RAA certifications are at least four credits per year, in addition to the class “Management of Selected Post Award Issues” offered each year.
Only classes and sessions offered through Office of Research Administration (ORA), Office of Research Support (ORS), Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO), and School of Medicine Compliance Office (SOMCO) , and RAI classes may be counted towards this requirement.
RCC also allows attendance at North Carolina Society of Research Administrators (NCSRA), Society of Research Administrators (SRA), and/or National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) meetings to count towards continuing education. The semi-annual Certified Research Administrator (CRA) Study Group sessions at Duke University may also be counted, provided you attend all sessions. All programs/classes offered through ORA, ORS, OSP, CRSO, and SOMCO count as one credit. Attendance at external professional meetings and the Duke University CRA Study Group each count as two credits.
